Although the best way to get all the essential nutrients is through whole food consumption, it may not be possible due to our busy lifestyles or fussy eating habits of our children. Many of us fall back on nutritional supplements to ensure we feed our body all the essential nutrients. If you decide to use supplement then my suggestion is that you at least include these in your daily supplements: a good multivitamin, a daily fiber (from green vegetables) supplement, and an omega-3 cod liver oil.

The [tag]essential fatty acids[/tag] and vitamin E addresses the skin and cells moisture levels. EFA’s are responsible for maintaining the cells moisture. This is important because the skin’s moisture barrier serves as a protective barrier against the elements (free radicals). Some of the food sources of ?-3 and ?-6 fatty acids are fish and shellfish, flaxseed (linseed), soya oil, canola (rapeseed) oil, hemp oil, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, leafy vegetables, and walnuts.
[tag]EFA[/tag] deficiency is definitely a factor that has to be addressed in eczema sufferers; however, it is not the only deficiency an [tag]eczema[/tag] manifestation represents. As a result, people who focus solely on replenishing EFA deficiency, (at the exclusion of the other deficiencies), end up frustrated in the healing process. Natural Healing from Internal A strong immune system is crucial to healing eczema. The important key to a strong immune system is through a healthy diet. This basic information regarding the importance of a nutritious diet is something that each dermatologist or physician should discuss with their eczema patients. It’s not that the body needs to be medicated; but rather, that it needs to be fed the nutrients for which it is deficient.
For the following days, I will be talking about the essential food groups which you need to eat your way to healing eczema. This does not mean that you must eat everything I listed all at once.
