“My friends were like, ‘Oh man, you’ve got the herpes!’ and I’m like, ‘No I don’t have herpes. Please don’t joke that I have herpes.’” An 18 yr old describes the difficulty in managing eczema while in college. Although it is incurable, he shares tricks on how to avoid flare-ups and how to manage it through cold, dry weather.
you are so true my freind, natural cure is to not shower until u feel like its completely gone away. it might take three weeks or more for some people to cure. Its obvious; either get better without showers or get worst with showering
It’s called an education. Look into it.
How do you know? Eczema can be caused by lots of things whether it’s the sun, the air, materials such as poison ivy or harsh metals, or allergens!! That has nothing to do with the liverr!!
yes.
eczema sucks. i’ve had it flaring up for about 3 years now, and it’s finally going away. i take lukewarm showers, with a blast of cold at the end, apply moisturizer to my wet skin (don’t dry off from shower with towel), no more tight pants, get some sun, and no more itching. btw, costco has hydrocortisone for 5.45 for 4 bottles. that’s like 8 times cheaper than cortizone 10. works just as well =] i feel free agian! haha good luck to you all.
yeah, if you use cortizone a lot, it will start to thin out your skin. it’s not permanent though, just hydrate that skin with rich moisturizers and eventually it will go away. i had the same problem.
I feel u. I have it damn near everywhere except my genitals and my feet…maaaaajor bummer.lol
Eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, whatever skin condition you have – it all comes down to toxicity in your body, namely your liver. I highly recommend reading Dr. Sandra Cabot’s book (or visit her website) “The Liver Cleansing Diet”. Also a series of liver flushes will help rid you of these toxins at no cost to you, other than the few ingredients which you probably already have at home. Andreas Moritz book, “The Liver & Gallbladder Miracle Cleanse” is an excellent resource. The answers are there.
whats your emaili have a long message
Also, I have a strange problem and I’m wondering whether or not anyone else does…
When I wake up in the morning, I have a very noticeable greenish tint in my skin everywhere I have eczema. I have no explanation for this whatsoever. Just wondering if anyone else has a similar problem?
Actually I have found that showering only makes my skin dryer in the long run. Obviously I still shower daily as it is a necessity but it doesn’t help hydrate your skin.
Yes I have it on my feet, my kneecaps, my right shin, my elbows, the underside of my forearms, the insides of my upper arms, and the back of my hands. I feel you dude. It is terrible.
imagine havin git all over your body and itching and feeling it all the time like me..it sucks
hey, I know what your feeling, i have eczema on my face. high school was difficult. go to my page and check out my video. Tell me if it helps you with your eczema. good luck
Cortisone don’t cause white spots though. Its just a moisturizer and a anti-inflammatory. Is what causes white spots is scarring from the skin becoming dehydrated and damaged from eczema.
Somebody Please Respond to this
I’ve had eczema for about a year now and it gave me wrinkles and scar tissue on my face. Has this happened to anyone else?
If I manage to solve this problem by myself by finding the cause/root of the problem maybe I could help other people later also, I’m confident that I will.
I’m going to try to keep a food log, like a list of things that I eat per day, etc… and I’m going to update it regularily, so when I eat something I log it and if I get a flare up I look at the list and I try to eat that again to see if that’s what causing it, but I’m going to try to do the same with clothes, and things like shampoos, detergent, etc. I need to figure out whats the cause of my flare ups, I will also consult an allergist and do some tests.
“Find the cause, don’t just deal with the symtoms”
This is my new motto now.
All those drugs for dealing with dermatitis and eczema are too unhealthy for the rest of our organism, and the drugs don’t do anything more than alleviate the problem temporarily. So we get more dermatitis and eczema later, and the drugs keep stressing our body in other ways. I believe what we should aim is to find the cause/root of the problem and deal with it in a natural way, ie: eat healthy, avoid products/foods that trigger the allergy, etc.
sure but there is food/allergy tests for that…
yes it’s possible, but you have to put a lot of work into finding your cause. Could be a food sensitivity, a product sensitivity… I got rid of the eczema on my arms by exfoliating gently 3x per week (removing all the dry rough skin) and then moisturising with natural lotion.
Is there a way to find the causes and root of the problem? I’m so sick of using any kind of drugs that don’ t do anything more than alleviate the problem temporary, I want to find the causes of the dermatitis and eliminate that cause, and never get a flare up again… please, is this possible?
eczema community? where?
There has been huge improvements I’ve seen by doing all of this; limited outbreak inflammation, and scars are healing slowly BUT surely. God bless eczema community!
