Garlic is a good way to boost your child’s immune system. Garlic is especially beneficial if the eczema is caused by parasite or fungal agents. Garlic is used traditionally to kill parasites. It has antifungal, antibacterial, antiparasitic, and antioxidant properties. I used garlic oil to apply on my son’s feet and it helps to relieve the itch and inflammation. I know it is difficult to feed children garlic. You can try to increase the use of garlic in your daily cooking for the family. With some creativity, your children may just start to love the taste of nutty garlic.

Try this Chicken and Garlic Broth for children. It is my children’s favorite. Besides, this is a great benefit in ridding the excess phlegm or congestion that your child may suffer.

CHICKEN & GARLIC SOUP

4 Boneless & Skinless Chicken

2 Carrots, minced

2 Stalks celery, minced

1 lg Whole onion

1 Whole head garlic, broken into uppeeled cloves

Chopped fresh parsley

Salt and pepper to taste

10 Cloves garlic, peeled

4 Tablespoons Butter

2 Tablespoons Flour

Make fresh chicken broth by simmering chicken, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper in enough water to cover.

When chicken is thoroughly cooked, remove it and skim fat from broth.Simmer broth, reducing it until it is very rich.

Remove unpeeled garlic cloves; squeeze cooked garlic from cloves and mash to make puree.

Discard skins.

In frying pan, saute the 10 peeled cloves in butter.When lightly browned, add flour and small amount ofbroth and mix with a wire whisk until velvety.

Pour this mixture into the remaining broth, add pureed garlic, and stir. Tear chicken into bite-sized pieces and add to the soup.

Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve.

Remember, no matter how much of the healthy essential food you are eating, you have to eliminate the foods/drinks that will cause havoc to your child’s immune system. Junk foods high in saturated fats and sugars weaken their immune health. Soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, and sugary drinks promote even further damage to the immune system.
