One of the best way to deal with eczema is to cleanse the blood and body of toxins. It is natural for our body to eliminate toxins via bowels, urination, sweat and our liver. However, if for some reasons, our body cannot eliminate toxins efficiently, this is one reason why people start to contract diseases as well as skin problems such as eczema. Therefore one need to make sure the body is getting the nutrients it needs as well as eliminating toxins efficiently. Here are some of the steps you can try in helping your body heal itself, thus healing eczema.
For a start, make sure you have at least 2 to 3 litres of clean, pure water a day. Water is important for eliminating toxins from the body. Take bath at least 2 to 3 times a day. Many people with eczema tend to avoid taking bath for whatever reasons known to them. Try soaking yourself in the tub filled with colloidal oatmeal or coconut oil. If you can, bath in the lake and river, followed by sun bath. Do not dry yourself with towel but let the water dry in the sun instead. Rub the eczema affected area with coconut oil. This will help the skin to stay soft and moist.
Consume more vegetables and fruits. I find juicing very beneficial. Cut down on acidic food such as salt, cereals, sugar, fats, dairy products, onions and radish. Carrot, apples and muskmelon are especially beneficial to eczema healing. Carrots are high in betacarotene while apples has papain enzyme which is great for healing problematic skin. Adding probiotics to your diet is highly recommended too. Some babies with eczema fare much better during breastfeeding but get worse once they are weaned. One reason is due to the rich probiotics in breast milk. Another benefit of taking more raw fruits and vegetables is the ease of bowel elimination. I can’t stress the importance of regular bowel movement enough especially for people with eczema. You might notice flareups whenever your bowel system is clogged up.
These simple healthy practices is not just for those with eczema. Everyone should practise this simple healthy daily habits.
