f_t_1985 asked: i have eczema and i’ve tried a lot of different treatments but most of them don’t seem to work, the only thing that usually works are topical steriods, but the symptoms always reappear within not much time. i don’t like using topical steriods all the time because of the long term side effects i’ve read about, i was wondering whether anyone out there has had any success with an alternative treatment.
My daughter HAD it and we tried EVERYTHING!! Untill we tried ARRBONE baby products!! It took 2 days and it was GONE!! TRY IT!!
my son has eczema and the doctor said he will probably have it forever, but he prescribed a hydrocortisone cream, which works okay, just like everything else he’s aloud to use, but honestly i have been using Aveeno baby soap and unscented Aveeno baby lotion everyday or every other day, and his skin has never been smoother…however if i go to long without using it, symptoms come right back!!good luck
exema is caused by allergies and you need to find the problem before you will get any results. try eleminating different things. I was told the most common allergy is to perfume in soap and toilet paper. when i had a child with exema i washed his clothes in Ivory dish soap and also bathed him in it. also use unsented lotions like lubriderm.
Expose the skin to sunlight for short periods of the day
Technically, there is no cure for Eczema. But on the other hand, there is a way to control it.
One of the ways to control Eczema is some type of medication. A medication you can use is called Elidel. You can possibly find it in a Pharmacy.
Good luck to you!
My dad has eczema really bad, and he’s similar to your situation – tried just about everything and nothing seems to do a lot. He’s also probably going to have it for life – he developed it as a young adult.
Apart from many other things he’s tried doing the 3-day salmon diet. I tried looking around to see if I could find it for you; the link below may not be the same one he used, but it’s the right idea. Whenever he does it, the results are noticeable, but I don’t recall how long it lasts for – he doesn’t do it very often.
Other things he’s noticed are that foods high in yeast or sugar tend to overheat his body and dry out his skin. So alcohol, especially beer, is not good for him (though he can’t quite give it all up). Sugar tends to increase the yeast population that already exists in your body. If you reduce your sugar or yeast intake it might help your skin. If you’re hooked on beer, try to find a light beer or one with little yeast.
I’m sure you’ve tried all medications and lotions, so I won’t suggest anything like that. These are kind of crazy things he’s tried, and they’ve worked to some extent for him – at least to give him some relief without the chemicals. I hope you find relief yourself, whether or not these suggestions do it for you. I know how much you must suffer, seeing what my dad has to go through.
Eucerin cream. I even use it on my face and it really does help.
The problem is, many products contain ingredients the cause eczema to flare up, become irritated, or cause your skin to become dry. It’s important to use pure water based products specifically formulated to target skin conditions that are gentle enough to hydrate your skin and relieve discomfort. I know many people with eczema that have used and experienced great results with Arbonne. You can try their Intelligence Cleansing Gel, Intelligence Skin Conditioning Oil, Intelligence Hand Cream, or Intelligence Body Lotion. They also have great Intelligence specialty products such as a Conditioning Oil and Rejuvenating Cream that can be used whenever you feel it’s necessary to relieve the discomfort and itching. The products are pure and formulated without chemicals, dyes, fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol, wax, acetone, etc. They are botanically-based and pH correct, dermatologist tested, non-sensitizing, and non-irritating. They are formulated with natural botanical ingredients. It’s important to use non exfoliating products if you have a skin condition. These can cause irritation. If you’re interested in learning more, I’ll be happy to help you.
